Terms of Service

These Terms are between you and Atharva Verma, the individual operator of Metakip, based in India. They apply to metakip.com, the hosted Metakip app, its API, and connected services. Metakip is currently in public beta.

Using Metakip

You may use the hosted service only if you have reached the age of majority where you live and can form a legally binding agreement. Metakip does not ask for or verify your date of birth. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials and access tokens secure. You must have authority to create an account and connect any workspace, service, or integration you use with Metakip.

Metakip is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License. These terms cover the hosted service; use of the open-source software is also subject to the applicable license.

Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the hosted service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted service.

Your content and permissions

You retain your rights to content you add to Metakip. You give Metakip permission to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide, maintain, and protect the service and the features you choose. Metakip does not solicit or filter the kinds of content you store; you are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you add, including personal or sensitive information about other people.

You control workspace sharing. If you connect a third-party assistant, API client, or other integration, you are responsible for reviewing its access and actions. Content returned to a third-party service may be handled under that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Metakip to:

  • Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or access data without permission.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the service, its accounts, or its security controls.
  • Misuse the API, integrations, or access tokens, or evade applicable usage limits and safeguards.

Availability and changes

Metakip is in public beta, so features may change and interruptions may occur. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a service-level agreement. The hosted service currently has no configured backups, so keep your own copies of important content. We may modify or discontinue features and will provide notice of material changes where required by law. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Free public beta and your data

The hosted service is free during public beta and has no paid plans at this time. If pricing changes, we will explain applicable charges and terms before they apply.

Workspace content remains until you delete it. You may request account deletion by emailing support; requests are handled manually. The hosted app has no self-service account-deletion control.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the hosted service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users, address a violation of these terms, or comply with law. You remain responsible for exporting or otherwise preserving content you need before ending your use.

Third-party services and business use

The hosted service relies on third-party infrastructure and integrations, including Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, Google, GitHub, and Resend. These service providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. If you choose to connect a third-party assistant or client, it may receive the information needed to fulfill your request and handle it under its own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for choosing whether to connect third-party services and for reviewing their permissions.

If you use Metakip for an organization or store personal information on behalf of another person or organization, you are responsible for having the legal authority to do so and for providing any notices or obtaining any permissions required of you. A separate data processing agreement may be needed for business use; these Terms do not themselves constitute a DPA.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the hosted service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the hosted service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability, rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply where you live. Disputes are subject to courts and forums that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
